The last experience in Australia

I think I'm really lucky.

I worked at English school as an intern for 5 weeks. The environment was great. I had warm colleagues and friendly students.

At the first and the second day, I learned about the school, which made me really tired. It was because I wasn't used to working for 7 hours and needed to remember a lot of things. I realized that how hard to work as a full time and that my father is a great person because he has worked for 30 years.

For the first two and half weeks, I worked at a reception. My job was supporting students and catching a phone call. I was so nervous at first. But, gradually I got used to it. The other receptionists are very kind and caring. So I was be able to ask them whenever I had questions. The hardest thing was talking through a phone. I sometimes couldn't understand what people said. It was of course because of my poor listening skill but also their strong English accent. I thought I need to listen Englishs more.

For the rest of my internship, I worked at marketing. I was used to working at the school. I was quite relaxed at that time. But I received a new job. It was visiting agents to know how they sell our school. It was so interesting. I enjoyed thinking how to sell it more effectively. Also, I found it difficult.

In terms of teaching, I also had chance to learn. I became a speaking partner. What I needed to do was just listening what students said and asked questions if they stop talking. It was a great experience. I learned how to encourage students to talk and ask simple questions for them to understand easily. I met many students there and made lots of friends.

The best thing I experienced there is that I learned how to prepare for a class. I stayed with two teachers. Both have a different style. Normally I focused on studying when I studied at school. But, from different point of view, I was be able to see. I want to be a Japanese teacher in the future. So, this experience should help me.

I want to say thank you to my colleagues and students who made my internship awesome.

Curiosity

I’ve experienced numerous things that I hadn’t tried before I came to Australia. But I still have lots of things which I want to do here.

Food
I really really like eating. So I want to try as many new food as possible in Australia. I tried various countries’ food. However, I haven’t tried “Vegemite”. I definitely should have it at least once I think. But I feel scared to eat it because many people say it’s not delicious… I need someone who encourages me to try it. Anyway, within one month, I’ll try Vegemite!!!!

Travelling
There are many places where I want to go, such as Morton Island, Byron Bay, Noosa, the Uluru, Sydney… I can’t write down all of them. But I have only one month before my internship begins. So I’m in rush actually. I’m planning to go to most places I want to go on weekend. Then in terms of the places taking time to go, I might go there during this holiday. I hope I can travel all places!

Activities
I missed a chance to try skydiving which one of the activities I want to do before I die. I think I might be able to do in Japan. However, I’m sure the view will be much better than I do in Japan. So, I should do in Australia. Also, I'm interested in camping because my nice awesome "ex" teacher told us about that. I want to enjoy Australian nature!!!!

Escape to Paradise

I'm I was on holiday two weeks ago. I went to the north of Brisban with a friend. Cairns!!!!

We stayed there for three days. We enjoyed a lot ,such as walking in a forest, snorkelling and having seafoods.

At the first day, we went to "Paronella Park", which some of my friends who have been to Cairns recommended me to do. On the way to go there, I felt that I was in America because there were no buildings but fields which is similar view when I went to America, I saw. I could be relaxed in the park. It was difficult for me to understand what a guide explained about the park though.

At the second day, we joined a tour to go to Great Barrier Reef. It was realy amazing. We did snowkelling and could see beautiful fishes and a coral reef. It was my first time to see it. Honestly, I really don't like swimming in a sea because I feel scared. Compared with the ocean, I'm super small. Therefore, I also felt scared a little bit as well as usuall. However, more than this feeling, I was excited.

I enjoyed having delicious food as well. My host mother told me that seafood is famous in Cairns. So we had seafood for dinner. At the first day, I ordered "The Raw Prawn fish  and chips." I thought this meal containds raw prawns, a fish and chips. But it was wrong. It was just like "fish and chips." I felt so dissapointed. The meal was good though. So next day, I chose a meal carefully. It was awesome. I've never eaten such a delicious fish I thought.

I can't write everything happening in this trip. I just want to say it was great trip

Hi and Bye

This month (June) was different from last month (May). I started to study at EAP class. Some of my friends left Australia. I really miss them. I sometimes think I wanna go back to last month, GE 5 green but I also like my new class, EAP I gold.

After trip to Melbourne, two of my friends who traveled with me left Australia. We had a farewell party for them. I really don’t like saying good-bye but I need to be used to it I realized. While I’m here, I need to say bye again and again. I felt so sad. However, one of my friends said to me ‘Saying good-bye doesn’t mean you lose your friends. Even though they go back to their countries, they are still your friends. Also you are in Australia, but you gained many friends all over the world. How lucky you are! You should feel happy!!’

Now I’m enjoying in my new class. I like my classmates and teachers. They are very hard-working in addition to funny. They motivate me to study. I found new lovely friends.

So now I’m not afraid of saying see you. I believe that I can meet them again.
